Rod has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, being the owner of several companies dealing with remodeling and home improvement from a young age. He was very successful in the business community with his personal communicative style and his willingness to make sure that the customer was always taken care of. In 1989, Rod obtained his Real Estate license and went to work for Centurion Realty. In 1991, he purchased Centurion Realty and changed the name to Plaza Realty. He was chairman of the board for the Sierra County Board of Realtors and was also the President of the board. He also played a major role in the incorporation of Elephant Butte & forming the Elephant Butte Chamber of Commerce. Rod was the recipient of the citizen of the year for Sierra County. He sold Plaza Realty to his Qualifying Broker in 2003. Rod eventually moved to Albuquerque in 2005. Then in 2006, he teamed up with his son, Chris Anderson, at Keller Williams Realty. In 2009, he and Chris formed Metroplex Realty Inc. Rod has had a very active role in Metroplex Realty’s overall success and its ranking today and continues to be very active in the Albuquerque Real Estate market.
